Sarah graduated from the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in 1999 and since then has worked as a massage therapist, instructor, consultant, and entrepreneur. As a therapist, Sarah practices integrative massage, focusing on the relief of chronic pain and physical imbalance. You can expect a results-oriented treatment focused primarily on relieving chronic issues or on helping to manage a lifelong disability, old injury, or ongoing pain and discomfort. It is extremely important to her that every client feels heard and supported, and that the client leaves the session with less pain, tools to help manage their discomfort, and more knowledge about their body. Sarah will work with you to create a realistic plan for managing whatever is bringing you into the clinic, so that there is a clear goal for feeling less pain and an increase in mobility. Herself a sufferer of chronic pain due to a lifelong battle with arthritis, Sarah has an intimate understanding of the effects of pain on the body and mind. Using massage and other bodywork therapies to treat her own pain—as she has for more than 30 years—has been life-changing for her.
As the owner of Rooted Integrative Wellness, which she established in April 2013, Sarah takes great pride in connecting practitioners with clients so that they have a wellness team at their disposal. What started off as a small, three-room clinic quickly grew into a large wellness center, home to more than 20 practitioners of multiple modalities and wellness services. Sarah's goal in establishing Rooted was to create a relaxing and inviting space where other skilled practitioners could run their independent practices, while also offering the public a reliable and skilled therapeutic experience.
