Founder Sarah Cafiero, LMT, graduated from the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in 1999 and has worked as a massage therapist, instructor, and consultant since then. She opened Rooted as a three-room clinic in 2013 and quickly expanded to a thirteen-room clinic, home to more than two dozen independent practitioners. Sarah has been featured in Voyage Phoenix's Trailblazers series, massage business educators Sohnen-Moe's blog, and on local community radio station KXCI's Broad Perspectives.

Working with Rooted has been one of the most amazing times of my life. I learned to build my practice pretty much from the ground up. You see, when I walked through the doors of rooted to meet with Sarah I was already pulling myself out of the industry due to other life factors, but nevertheless I was scared and had no faith in myself or the work I provided. That was short lived because as I opened up to Sarah about my passion and love for the human anatomy and what massage therapy does for people I became teary eyed and realized I belong here in this place and in this industry. I signed the lease and started right up. Rooted is hands down the number one place for healing, health and wellness in TUCSON. Although I have moved out of Rooted I haven taken some great memories with me. Not necessarily did I outgrow the place with an overwhelming client base but with different needs that have added value to my practice because I embarked on an adventure to add personal training to my business. If I was not a trainer I guarantee I would be no other place but Rooted. The fact that I re-started my practice because of Sarah and the very first conversation we had together has been rooted deep within my heart, yes, pun intended, and I will forever be a part of Rooted Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
