Sarah Baracks (she/they) is a licensed massage therapist who revels in queer joy and neurodivergent passion. She invites you to join her in Slow Flow Body Healing. They offer a style that blends myofascial-release/connective-tissue therapy, Structural Energetic Therapy (SET), and intuitive touch, along with techniques like cupping. In her sessions, she creates a balance between whole-body relaxation and focused chronic-pain management or injury rehab. Sarah is a space creator! As a trained herbalist, they may also offer flower essences and herbal medicine during the treatment or make recommendations for further healing. Overall, she will help you reduce pain, release trauma stored in the body, and create more balance in your physical, emotional, and spiritual self.
Sarah grew up in New York and then lived in several locations before settling here in the beautiful Sonoran desert. A special-education teacher for 10 years, they retired from that work burned out from continual stress and dove headfirst into the study of herbal medicine and massage therapy. They have found massage and plant medicine to be a beautiful way to manage the overwhelm that comes with being a highly sensitive person and experiencing cycles of depression, anxiety, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Bodywork has also been essential for managing her chronic pain—the result of being hit by a car while riding a bicycle way back in college. Sarah has lived in Tucson since 2014. Whenever possible, she enjoys hiking and camping, cooking decadent meals, drinking hot cups of tea, connecting with plants, spending quality time with friends and family, and going for long walks with their dog, Imujin. Their favorite color is green and their favorite animal is the elephant. |
