Joshua was born in California, grew up in Georgia, and has lived in Tucson since 2013. His youth was spent hanging out in the woods, playing baseball, skateboarding, and playing in metal bands. As a young adult looking for something to do that was healthy and beneficial for living in the modern world, he began practicing yoga in 2014. A few years later, in 2019, he enrolled in massage school to further his knowledge of anatomy, alternative bodywork therapies, and helping others.
Joshua specializes in myofascial connective-tissue therapy, breathwork therapy, deep-tissue and sports massage, cupping, scar-tissue rehabilitation, and neuromuscular therapy. On the table, you can expect a dynamic blend of massage and breathing techniques to address issues like nerve pain, neck pain, low-back pain, shoulder and hip mobility, and other soft-tissue issues. Joshua’s foundation in practicing and teaching Yoga has deeply informed his approach to client care on and off the massage table. You can find his yoga teaching on his YouTube channel, 8 Limbs of Fury. Treatments begin with some general health questions and a review of what is ailing the client’s body. Expect a deliberate session, with deep work focused on the problem areas. After each session, he takes the time to ask how things went and often sends clients home with homework. Joshua has experience working with clients from many walks of life, from young college students, elderly folks, athletes, gym rats, bike commuters, yoga people, and couch potatoes. When not doing massage, Joshua spends his time hanging out with his wife, doing yoga and wrestling workouts, hiking and backpacking in the desert, and walking his dog, Luka. |
