“My specialization in prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric care comes from witnessing my closest friends and family go through this phase of their life. It is a beautiful and profound time during which they need support from qualified professionals.”
Growing up as a competitive dancer, movement and health has always been at the center of Dr. Sarah’s personal ethos. While she was earning her bachelor’s degree, she sustained two neck injuries (a car accident and a skiing injury) that left her with chronic, intractable headaches and minimal range of movement in her neck. Standard medicine left her without solutions or insight, but following just a few treatments from a chiropractor, her headaches were minimal and she regained full range of movement in her neck.
This enlightening experience led her, after graduating, to chiropractic school, where she pursued a concentration in the treatment of pediatric and pregnant clients as well as prenatal and postpartum care. In 2022, she became certified in the use of the Webster Technique. Considered chiropractic’s premier technique for treating pregnant women, Webster focuses on sacral balance and achieving free movement of the pelvis. Realizing these outcomes helps to shorten labor and delivery and reduce the likelihood that interventions such as forceps and vacuum extraction of the newborn are used. Dr. Sarah spends at least an hour with each client during a new-patient visit and at least 30 minutes during each follow-up. At your first visit, you will discuss your primary health concerns and your health history. Then, She will perform a thorough physical exam. If it is determined that it is safe to treat you and that you will meet your health goals with treatment, you will move on to the treatment portion of the visit. Treatment may include the administration of heat, muscle work, passive stretching, a chiropractic adjustment, and prescribed exercises, as well as any applicable lifestyle advice. Follow-up visits will begin with an abbreviated health history and exam followed by the full treatment. Dr. Sarah comes to us courtesy of the US Air Force (her husband is stationed at Davis Monthan). When not working she is mostly spending time with her dog, hiking, or trying out a new recipe! She looks forward to sharing her education and experience with her new community in Tucson! Prices
