Massage has always been second nature to Samantha. As a young girl, she would massage her mother, who suffered from chronic pain, by stepping on her back, legs, and feet. As time passed, she came to appreciate more and more the idea that she could alleviate her mother’s pain using just the pressure of her own hands and feet—something akin to a superpower! This inspired her to pursue a career in massage therapy. She completed massage school here in Tucson shortly before relocating for a few years to Boston, where she gained much of her massage experience. Samantha is passionate when it comes to helping others work through their physical pain, and she continues to learn massage modalities and meditation techniques that enhance her ability to do so.
Samantha’s sessions begin with a brief medical history and overview of what the client is seeking, which helps her customize the treatment to the client’s needs, including pressure, specific modalities used, and the areas addressed. Checking in with the client occasionally helps keep the treatment focused and on schedule. If appropriate, she will offer a follow-up appointment or create a treatment plan. Samantha has found particular success working with post-partum and post-surgery clients and those experiencing chronic fatigue, sciatica, anxiety, depression, and insomnia. As someone who manages her own chronic pain, Samantha is motivated to help others reduce their pain, anxiety, depression, and insomnia through massage therapy. She has made it her purpose to share the natural benefits of massage through bodywork. Samantha is the founder and CEO of Southern Arizona Massage Ambassadors, offering in-office chair massage to help improve employee health and morale. In her off hours, she enjoys raising her small human, meditating, hiking, painting, making jewelry, and journaling. |
