Phillip’s life before coming to massage seems like enough to fill two or three lifetimes. A native French speaker, he grew up and lived in Europe (France, The Netherlands, Switzerland) and Africa (Cameroon, Togo, Ivory Coast, and Gabon) and traveled in Asia (South Korea and Vietnam) and Latin America (Costa Rica and Mexico). The last duty station in his Army service was Fort Huachuca. He remained in Arizona, earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration, and worked as both a government contractor and a federal civilian employee, before he was ready for a change.

“I’m always looking to better myself,” Phillip says. “I wanted to find a new goal less predictable than a PhD. I was debating between culinary arts or massage. I picked massage therapy, and, to my surprise, my little brother said ‘It’s about time!’ He told me that massage therapy was something I always talked about when we were kids. It surprised me, but it felt right.”

Phillip completed the Cortiva Institute’s 750-hour massage program at the top of his class and went on to study several other healing modalities, including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Connective Tissue Massage, Reiki, and Craniosacral therapy. Along with these, he incorporates into his sessions his knowledge of deep-tissue, sport, Swedish, and medical massage; Myofascial Release; trigger-point therapy; Muscle Energy Techniques; reiki; and Craniosacral Therapy.

With all of these tools at hand, Phillip is prepared to help anyone seeking the benefits of massage. He has worked with adults, children, and teens; professional and college athletes; plastic-surgery patients (pre- and post- surgery), professional bodybuilders, celebrities, people with chronic pain, people with trauma, children with cerebral palsy, seniors, pregnant women, and people just wanting to relax.

Phillip relies on a finely honed intuition to seamlessly blend all these techniques into a session that address each client’s unique needs. Although he considers deep-tissue (not to be confused with deep pressure) work and lymphatic massage specialties, he usually draws upon several techniques to bring relief, energy, relaxation, and healing to all of his clients. Whether you‘re looking for help with chronic pain, injury prevention, or just to relax, Phillip has a session for you.

Married for over two decades, Phillip has two children and three dogs—"a Yorkshire terrier named Loki, a Deer Head Chihuahua named Iris, and a Miniature Maltese named Odin.” He practices and teaches yoga and loves to dance. He also loves motorcycles. “I used to take my sports bike to the racetrack (full leathers, gloves, boots, and helmet). There is nothing like hitting the apex just right and being at an acute lean angle at fast speeds. Now I stick to skiing, ice skating, and travel.”
