Liana Brooks-Rubin brings a rare blend of ancient wisdom and modern insight to her work as a practitioner of Acupuncture and Classical Chinese Medicine. Her journey with Chinese Medicine began when she sought healing from the physical and emotional impacts of trauma, a process that engendered in her a profound respect for the body's innate capacity to heal. She discovered, and ultimately followed a deep calling to explore, the interconnectedness between physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
Liana left a career at the State Department to study Chinese Medicine and, for a decade, maintained a busy clinic in Washington, D.C. where she served hundreds of clients seeking healing on all levels. While she’s experienced in treating a range of physical, mental, and emotional issues, she specializes in women’s health, emotional and spiritual well-being, and the treatment of complex, chronic digestive and autoimmune conditions. Liana is a lifelong student and has a deep reverence for the ancient and indigenous roots of Classical Chinese Medicine. She is immersed in mentorships in Classical Chinese Medicine and Esoteric Acupuncture. Four years ago, her path took a transformative turn in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, where she was initiated into the Mahua-Lopez lineage of the Shipibo-Konibo tribe, deepening her connection to the earth and its sacred medicines. Liana's approach as a practitioner is a testament to her understanding, informed by ancestral and indigenous cosmologies, about the interconnectedness of all-of-life. She skillfully weaves together the precision of Chinese medicine with its spiritual roots, creating a holistic framework that addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of well-being. Her sessions are infused with the intention to guide individuals toward their highest potential. Liana is thrilled to have returned to Tucson, her childhood home. She and her husband spent over two decades raising two incredible sons in the wilds of Washington, DC. When not in the clinic, Liana loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling the world, writing, hiking, swimming, singing, and communing with plants. |
